There Are "Conservatives" Who are Lying to You
They said you could trust them but you can't
Candace Owens, Tucker Carlson, and Dave Smith. When thinking of some of the most effective conservative voices these people always made the top of my list.
It wasn’t just their ability to properly convey the essence of conservatism, it was their accuracy of predictions, insight into the news, and integrity that built trust with myself, and their audience.
But…after the last few months there has been a noticeable shift.
Shows that used to focus on an array of topics began having entire months without talking about anything but Jews. Commentators who used to champion conservative truths and build audiences of former liberals couldn’t go a day without bringing up Israel.
And then Trump bombed Iran.
Leading up to the attack the usual suspects talked about the conflict as if it would be World War 3. Nick Fuentes, Milo Yiannopoulos, and Alex Jones; this was routine. But then people like Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens got involved and that’s when I grew suspicious.
These people had completely lost their way.
They seemed completely deaf to what the Trump administration was saying about the Iran conflict and what Trump had said for years. “Iran can’t have a nuclear weapon.” That had been Trump’s position from the beginning.
What’s more? Iran’s allies: China, Russia, and North Korea hadn’t indicated in the slightest that they were interested in coming to Iran’s defense if the United States attacked Iran’s nuclear facilities.
So where was World War 3?
I couldn’t see it and neither could most Americans.
What happened in Iran was actually very simple.
Israel bombed the absolute living heck out of it, and asked the U.S. to finish the job. Since Israel lacked the bunker missiles required to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities the United States obliged.
1 day before the bombings Trump publicly made a statement about the nuclear negotiations with Iran. He said that Iran had less than 2 weeks to come to table, or the United States would what they had to do in order to end Iran’s nuclear program.
It was a bluff.
The planes were already on their way. Iran’s three main nuclear sites were obliterated the following day and 0 American or Israeli casualties occurred during the 12 days that there were fighting.
Iran’s response? A strongly worded tweet and 12 missiles sent to an American army base in Qatar that were all intercepted.
This was the World War 3 Candace Owens talked about. This was the end of the world that Tucker Carlson had predicted!
Despite being utterly wrong none of these political commentators admitted it. In fact, they dug their heals in.
Now Candace Owens says she regrets voting for Donald Trump. Dave Smith says the exact same. Commentators like Fuentes continue to post videos about how right their predictions were even when they were wrong.
The bottom line is this. They lied to you.
They used the same fear tactics the Left uses in order to manipulate their audiences, and when they found out they were wrong, they dug in deeper.
So what did I learn from all of this?
Be skeptical when someone says it’s World War 3… and be VERY weary of political commentators who routinely make incorrect predictions but act like they were correct.
